Pen-Y-Ghent Wild Camp

I've been thinking about, talking about and planning this for ages.

As usual, thanks to Gator for coming along.

When we got to the top, we found we weren't alone!
Dave from daveswildcamping.com was already setting up camp.
(He's famous!)
Thanks to Dave, for sharing the wisdom and tales.


So, with as much kit, food and booze as we could carry we rode pushed up Pen-Y-Ghent.


But first.....
Mixed grill and a few pints:


So there it is. So close you can touch it:

At the top: time to set up camp...


And relax those aching muscles:

Now its time for food, drink and chat around the camp fire:

And then sleep.....

Then time for the decent...

2 hours up - 20 minutes down ;D ;D ;D ;D

One of the best nights I've have had in a while and probably the best camping experience I've ever had.

Excellent jollyboys adventure - really was lots of fun

Thanks to Suggy for continuing with the idea, hatched many years ago and for driving.

For our first attempt, not bad at all, it can only get better with the knowledge.

Hopefully do another before the end of summer.

Unfortunately it will probably be a weekday night again due to the legality of it all and how busy these places are on a weekend.
