Welcome to the first Wild Camp of 2015 at Gisburn Forest ............ and also welcome to our newest and youngest (11) Wild Camper ..... Owan!
As usual the campers were given plenty of notice about the upcoming event. Wed night 10pm phone call .. 'Hi Sherby, do you fancy doing a wild camp tomorrow?'
No time for any photoshopping ....... what you see is what you get!
Our newest member Owan ....... make sure you pay your Dad the TeamBAD subscription fee! .............. He's very insistent on that!

Brilliant.
Thanks fellas, amazing what you can organise in just a few hours.
My god it was freezing during the night - only about 2 hours sleep - and a full day of activities with the family today.
Me and Owan look like zombies.

only about 2 hours sleep - Rubbish, you were rattling the tent pegs out of the frozen ground with your snoring Anyway - you need to thank the French air traffic controllers, or the event would not have happened  Great night once again - pictures to follow

So here we are.
1st camp of the year, oganised in a mad rush.
Vital equipment left at home and sub-zero temperatures.
It should be a recipe for a crap night but according the boy...
"best thing I've ever done...can we go again tonight?"

Don't forget that other great outdoors man, Sherby. He brings broken pannier bags, a second hand camera, a bag of wotsits and some citrus cider!
To all readers of this message board who have not yet been to Gisburn. Do yourselves a favour and stop off at the Anchor Inn outside Gargrave. It has crap food and crap service, but if you sit at table No 43, everything is free!!

Suggs I think the 25% extra = you paid for 8 (59p) and got 2 extra free Have you been charged for over done food? with extra free chips Wildcamping is great it gives you the feeling of being FREE |

3 pints 1 J2O 2 mixed grills 1 new yorker burger 1 chicken and bacon salad 2 extra portions of chips Just checked with visa. They charged me nowt. I wish I had known. I would have got another pint and a pudding. |
